When writer, producer, and actor Anthony Pallino brought “House of Holloway” to Franklin, Kentucky, he found more than compelling filming locations. From scouting and production logistics to local crew connections and community support, Pallino says the experience demonstrated the advantages of filming in West Kentucky.
“Filming ‘House of Holloway’ in Franklin, Kentucky was an incredible experience from start to finish,” Pallino says. “Overall, we felt genuinely welcomed and supported by the entire community.”
Local support began well before cameras rolled. Pallino credits Amy with assisting the production with everything from location scouting and local logistics to catering and other on-set needs. Kristi helped connect the production with local resources and crew members while also providing guidance through Kentucky’s film incentive process.

Franklin itself played an important role in the production, offering locations that Pallino says “truly elevated the look and feel of the project.” That cooperation extended to the Franklin Police Department, which assisted with road access and provided props and other resources that helped add authenticity to the film.
The community proved equally valuable when production encountered something no one had planned for — an unexpected snowstorm. Rather than bringing filming to a halt, local partners stepped in to help the production keep moving forward.
SpringHill Suites by Marriott also served as a home base for the cast and production team throughout filming, adding another layer of local hospitality to the experience.
For Pallino, the combination of locations, production assistance, and community support made Franklin — and West Kentucky — a place he would readily recommend to other filmmakers.
